For All Things Citrix. So I'm troubleshooting an issue with our XA 6.5 servers (3) and they're streamed so all the same image. At one point, only 1 of the servers was displaying the issue now all 3 are. I've been looking into what changed, and I don't believe it was a Citrix configuration change but having trouble proving and tracking.
The reason is we also have a Netscaler, and external clients that come through that have no issue launching applications. The internal clients all receive protocol driver error, so in my mind the XA servers are working as expected. We have 2 different web interfaces (5.4), one for external and 1 for internal. The XTE log is showing a strange error also that I'm not familiar with. client ip address client denied by server configuration: 127.0.0.1:3389 CH0 ACCESS DENIED to destination address 127.0.0.1:3389.
I don't know why the port is 3389 instead of 2598 or 1494. Looking for some help in direction on where else to look, thanks in advance.
Solution 1 Complete the following steps on the server to recreate the ICA Listener:. Open the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Terminal Services Configuration (TsConfig.msc), right-click the ICA-tcp listener, and click Delete. Click Yes. Expand the Action menu and click Create New Connection. Click Next. Continue through the wizard and configure the desired settings. When the option to name the listener appears, type ICA-tcp in the Name field. Click Next and then click Finish.
Right click ICA-tcp listener and click Properties. Select the Permissions tab and add the local account ctxcpsvcuser.
Edit the advanced permissions and select only the Query Information and Virtual Channels check boxes under the Allow column. Click OK and close the MMC. Restart the Print Spooler and Citrix Print Manager services. Solution 2 Remove App Controller as STA from NetScaler and StoreFront.
Session Reliability is enabled in the environment and it is unable to contact the ICA Listener. The ICA Listener is no longer functioning and must be recreated. To confirm this, check the following:. From the Command Prompt, run the command netstat -a.
The TCP port 2598 (Session Reliability) is LISTENING but TCP port 1494 (ICA) is not displayed in the list. Examine the XTE logs at 'C: Program Files (x86) Citrix XTE logs error.log'. The message 'Unable to connect to the CGP tunnel destination (127.0.0.1:1494)' is repeated.
Attempting to launch a XenDesktop 5.5 or 5.6 desktop through an NetScaler Access Gateway throws the error: “Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information: Cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server.
